The North York Moors
North York Moors! The name itself conjures up visions of vast open moorland spaces, but until you see it for yourself there is no way you can really visualise it's grandeur and beauty. From the heather in bloom stretching away into the distance as far as the eye can see, to the tiny picturesque villages nestling in the hollows between the lofty hills, one cannot help but be affected by the splendour of the ever changing vistas. Small wonder indeed that Grosmont. one of it's villages, was the place chosen for the setting of "Aidensfield" in the T.V.series HEARTBEAT.
Why not visit the picture postcard village of Hutton-le-Hole, with it's fascinating open air museum, or the Beck Isle Museum at Pickering, a market town complete with castle, all to be found on the

NORTH YORK MOORS

A tiny hamlet nestles among the trees against the backdop of the NORTH YORK MOORS. Framed by the summer foliage and lit by the sun in a blue sky flecked with fluffy white clouds, the moors will provide the photographer with opportunities not to be missed.
As autumn approaches the green of the moors is transformed by the blossoming of the purple heather.
Just one of the many pictuesque cottages to be encountered on a visit to the NORTH YORK MOORS. Be your journey by foot, rail or road transport, you cannot fail to be impressed.
